November 27 (Day 277)

Dear brothers and sisters,

We send you our greetings. Today we are going to the church early because we need to start the generator and make sure all our equipment works. Our generator makes our music equipment, microphones and computers work. But we can’t turn on heating because it is too much for its capacity. So we will wear warm clothes.

Our daily routine changed, we go to bed earlier now and wake up earlier. Sergey does some work about the building to insulate it so it would stay warm longer when we heat it. We also make some changes in the kitchen, we are going to install a gas cooker because we can’t cook as all appliances in our kitchen need electricity.

I worried about our group meeting yesterday but it was fine. The café where we met has a powerful generator so it’s warm there and there is food. We had a good meeting, though there were less people in our adult group. Some ladies whose villages were liberated two weeks ago decided to go back home to check on their homes. They will come back and stay for a winter here and then in spring those whose houses are in good condition plan to return home. But I think that some, whose houses are ruined will stay here longer or may be they will settle to live here.

The topic of our group meeting was “procrastination”. We talked about why we procrastinate, what the causes of this problem are, what the difference of procrastination and laziness is, how to overcome this problem, etc. The people shared their problems and the important question was how to help children with procrastination. We almost finished our discussions when one lady, Irina, said the thing that was almost a cry for help: “ I have this problem, - she said, - I understand that it’s my problem and I see now what I should do to deal with it. But I can’t! I just can’t! What shall I do?!”

Yes, we all know and admit that we have problems and there are many instructions what we should do, there are always many advisors around who tell us what to do, but we feel we are not able to do anything about it. The answer is Jesus who says: “Come to me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 He is the answer to all our problems. The end of our talk was much better than I planned.

May God bless your worship and the time with your church!

In Christ,

Lyuda
